About this course

This instructor led course consists of 10 modules and lab exercises delivered over a 2 day period.
 
The theory modules are as follows:
  1. Zero Trust Exchange Overview - introduction to concepts of ZTE and Zscaler product
  2. Quick Start  - overview of the Admin portals of the products
  3. Identity Services - configuring a SAML identity provider
  4. Basic Connectivity - overview of different methods of getting user traffic to/from the ZTE 
  5. Platform Services - overview of platform features the ZTE provides
  6. Digital Experience - overview and configuring ZDX
  7. Access Control - using Policy to control traffic and access
  8. Cyber Security Services - threat protection, sandboxing etc.
  9. Basic Data Protection Services - in-band and out of band protection, EDM, etc 
  10. Basic Troubleshooting and Support - an overview of the troubleshooting tools and help options
In addition to the theory content outlined above, the course includes comprehensive lab exercises.  
 
Each student has 
 
- access to their own lab Zscaler tenant
- a Microsoft Azure AD tenant
- 5 virtual machines, all of which can be accessed from a normal browser without the installation of complicated software
 
The lab exercises are as follows:
  • Lab 0: Connecting to the Virtual Lab
  • Lab 1: Verify No Protection
  • Lab 2: ZIA User Authentication - SAML with Microsoft Azure Active Director
  • Lab 3: ZIA SCIM Authorization
  • Lab 4: ZPA User Authentication - SAML with Microsoft Azure Active Directory
  • Lab 5: ZPA SCIM Authorization
  • Lab 6: Traffic Forwarding: Zscaler Client Connector
  • Lab 7: Policy: SSL Inspection
  • Lab 8: Policy: Configuring Access Control Policies
  • Lab 9: Provision ZPA Infrastructure
  • Lab 10: Add an Application
  • Lab 11: Discover Corporate Applications
  • Lab 12: Configure Corporate Applications
  • Lab 13: Configuring Cloud Applications Monitoring
